Ms. Hunsberger holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill and a Masters of Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago. She has been licensed to practice social work since 1996, serving adults, children and families in a variety of settings to include inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers with a focus on eating disorders and outpatient clinics. Ms. Hunsberger has extensive experience working with clients from urban neighborhoods in Chicago, IL and Philadelphia, PA and more recently with the communities of Northeastern North Carolina.
Ms. Hunsberger provides psychotherapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults. She works with individuals, couples and families in her therapy practice. Ms. Hunsberger employs an eclectic blend of cognitive- behavioral, person-centered, self-psychology/object relations and psychodynamic approaches.
Ms. Hunsberger specializes in individual psychotherapy, parent training, family and couples counseling, and play therapy.
